Evaluation of insurance company

Most of 300 insurance companies officially registered in Ukraine have very little to do with the traditional insurance business known in countries with well developed market economy. Only less then 20% of all registered Ukrainian insurers, conduct their business in a way which reminds traditional insurance operation in Europe. The rest of insurers usually act as captive insurance companies to serve specific interest of their owners. These days, almost every bank or industrial group has one or even more insurance companies. According to some officially published ratings (usually annual premium income), some of those insurers look almost like undisputed market leaders. Despite this fact, we would recommend looking towards other group of insurers who represent a minority, we propose our clients to concentrate attention on 5-10 insurers, companies whose owners expect to make their money only out of professional insurance activity. The candidates mast have a proven history of position themselves as market orientated insurance organizations and also have a transparent management system.

We are convinced that the actual choice of insurer is the very first to make and it is indeed one of the most important decisions. If the choice is wrong, than any "saving" on insurance premium may not be of any importance as you have a chance to become a holder of the policy from a company which does not pay.
